Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

December 13, 2017

Board Members in Attendance: Nancy Grant, Larry Velte, Maureen Pettis, Mark Heppner, Jillian Mueller, and Jim Bovino.

Meeting called to order: 7:30 p.m.

Approval of November 2017 Meeting Minutes:  Approved 5-0.

Treasurer’s Report:  November 2017 financials reflected the following: one CAB Operating Account with a balance of $19,395.26; two general fund CD's with balances of $5,362.36 and $5,349.88; one Reserve Study CD with a balance of $19,121.27; Other Current Assets with balances of $5,793.29 (Accounts Receivable - $6,557.71; Allowance for Bad Debts - ($1,066.88); Interest Receivable - $1.27; Prepaid Expenses - $301.19); bringing total assets to a balance of $55,022.06. 

Old Business:

• Annual Assessments – Ten properties still have liens due to unpaid annual assessments owed to KPWCA. Two properties paid liens in the last month.    

• Audit – Board renewed contract with Goldklang for record keeping and auditing. Board will sign tax returns and submit to Goldklang for processing.

• Tree Removal – Board will pay Northern Virginia Tree Experts monies owed for services rendered.

New Business:

• Correspondence – Board will respond to KPWCA member who requested information on how to contact Burke Community Management; Board also referred a KPWCA member to the Kings Park West Civic Association for information on advertising for community events in Kings Park West.

Hearing no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
