Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

January 11, 2017

Board Members in Attendance: Nancy Grant, Larry Velte, Maureen Pettis, Mark Heppner, Jim Bovino, and Jillian Mueller.

Meeting called to order: 7:30 p.m.

Approval of December 2016 Meeting Minutes:  Approved 4–0.

Treasurer’s Report:  December 2016 financials reflected the following: one CAB Operating Account with a balance of $19,635.82; two general fund CD's with balances of $5,357.01 and $5,344.54; one Reserve Study CD with a balance of $19,121.27; Other Current Assets with balances of $4,134.73 (Accounts Receivable - $3,832.27; Interest Receivable - $1.27; Prepaid Expenses - $301.19); bringing the total assets to a balance of $53,593.37. 

Old Business:

· FY 2016 Audit – Board will provide vendor conducting the FY 2016 audit with documents needed to complete actions relating to the KPWCA FY 2016 Audit and other financial obligations.

· Annual Assessments – Fourteen properties still have liens due to unpaid annual assessments.

· Streambed Erosion – Board will respond to homeowners who contacted KPWCA Board to express concern about streambed erosion around Shane's Creek and adjacent properties.  

New Business:

• KPWCA Herald Articles – Board submitted to the KPWCA Herald an article detailing the history of the Kings Park West Community Association.  Board members discussed possible topics for future articles to be submitted to the Herald.  Board will explore opportunities to use social media venues to increase outreach to KPWCA homeowners.
