Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

May 11, 2011

 

In attendance: Joe Meyer, Armand Fournier, Jim Messinger, Larry Velte, Virginia Scattergood, Mark Heppner, Linda Bufano.

           

Meeting called to order at 7:35pm. 

 

Approval of April Meeting Minutes: The April minutes were reviewed; Larry motioned to approve, Armand seconded; approved 6-0.

 

Treasurer’s Report: The board was informed that the current checking account balance as of April 30, 2011 is $1,491.30; there are 2 general fund CD’s in the amount of $5,233.18 each; 2 general fund CD’s in the amount of $5,380.87 each; and the Reserve Study CD at $12,406.80 bringing the grand total to: $35,126.20.

Assessment Response:  As of April 30, all 4 households in the payment plan are still on schedule. Thus far 26 households have paid the assessment for 2011-2012.      

 

Tree Removal: The bids have been received and Jim and Armand reviewed them.  Based on the tree survey, the three estimates came in at:  $4,600; $6,025; and $7,500.  KPWCA has previously used the company that submitted the lowest bid.  Linda motioned to accept the lowest bid, offered by J&L.  Mark seconded; approved 6-0.

 

Commonwealth tree removal:  During the course of a homeowner asking about tree removal it was noticed that they are maintaining property that is part of the Association owned common land.  Joe said he will call the homeowner to discuss the encroachment and follow-up with a letter to determine if the property is being maintained by the homeowner or by a lawn service.  

 

Annual Meeting:  Jim has received proxies; Larry and Mark will handle signs.  Joe has the neighborhood map.  The nominating committee has not received anything.

 

Hearing no new business, Joe motioned to adjourn; Larry seconded. Concluded at 8:15 pm.
